About the Project

My name is Mark and I have created this site to collect stories of people in the United States living without insurance. Working as a graphic designer and owning my own business I know the personal struggle to afford adequate health coverage. My hunch is there are a lot of others just like me.

My idea is to create a collection of the diverse stories of America's uninsured to show this problem affects more than the poor or unemployed. I'd also like the site to be a living petition that demands all Americans have affordable and easy access to health insurance and medical services.

I look forward to the day when this site is obsolete and no one in this country has to fear financial ruin through medical emergency or illness and has equal access to preventative care.
